Great functionality and cost
I bought two of these sensors for my garage doors and they function perfectly. I have read that they can stick open or closed occasionally after about one year but you can replace the gravity switch with a mercury switch with a little soldering. I decided to replace early and ordered the mercury switches from China. The switches desoldered and new switches replaced in about 45 minutes. Works with Wink Hub 2
There has been some question of whether or not this Ecolink Garage Door Sensor would work with Wink. I paired it by going to the Wink Hub 2, Z-wave, Inclusion mode, and inserted the battery into the sensor. Would have given 5 stars, but there was no battery included! This even though the list of items included said there was a battery. I am using this sensor to let me know when my mailbox is opened. Also usable as a Z-Wave dry contact switch
I have a couple of these I use as Z-Wave dry contact switch sensors. There are terminals inside for an "arm" switch. When mounted up-side-down (tilt activated), these can reliably be used to sense an external switch, such as one in my condensate pump (NO) and one on the generator's transfer switch (NC).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
