Entertaining view of a net enabled future
Ghost in the Shell 1+2 are animated movies set in a future Japan, the animation is high quality, the stories engaging. SAC 1st GIG is an episodic story following on from the movies, also known as The Laughing Man. If you enjoy Manga, these will appeal, not aimed at youngsters, though the Tachikoma Days segments at the end of each episode of 1st GIG are a little light relief.

Great amination though the characters could have used a bit more development.
The animation in this series is outstanding, though not as eye-popping as some of the other Manga productions. The stories in each episode progress nicely and link together well. That said some of the episodes feel a little 'clunky'. All in all, I can't help but like this series and would recommend it for most Manga enthusiasts.
