    Not bad at all

Needed a small MP4 player and didn't want to pay a lot. Wanted to upgrade from the old shuffles I'd been using for a decade, so I bought this. The storage is decent (decent for hikes and workouts; not for, say, a very long car ride) and it took a minute to master using the controls without the directions...but that's what Google is for. What really impresses me is the battery life. It lasts days and days without a charge. The charger for my first-generation iPad worked fine for this and also connected it to my computer. Definitely what I wanted.

  • Worked Great, Very Happy

Bought this to upgrade with larger flash storage and I'm not disappointed, I know at some point I'll probably hit the track limit but threw in a CF to SD card adapter and I'm sitting on a 256 GB iPod Mini with a new battery that's been working grat for about a week.

  • Great battery life, reliability and sound quality for a very low price.

I have been using an iPod Mini since 2005. Fantastic little device even today in 2018. They will accept most CompactFlash cards as a replacement for the Microdrive that comes from the factory, which yields much better battery life (and storage space for today's ever expanding iTunes libraries) My previous iPod Mini was used every day from 2005-June 2018 when I lost it, and I did not hesitate to replace it with another identical unit. The Wolfson DAC in these units, paired with the reliability and cheapness of parts should anything go wrong, makes these units a timeless classic that will last as long as iTunes will connect to them.

  • Pretty great device

This model of iPod is really easy to open and put in a new battery and solid state drive. Compact flash cards slip right in or you can ge an adapter to go to a smaller format like an SD card. I dropped one of these too many times and its logic board died, but another used one I bought that showed signs of extreme use still works great after these mods.

  • still good in 2020

this is the classic ipod feel, tough aluminum outer shell, easy to modify and expand its storage, i keep this with my iphone for my music needs where i cant take cell phones and it goes my entire 14hr shift

  • Happy with purchase

I bought two refurbished iPod minis, and they are both in great working order. Tested the battery life, and both ran for over 6 hours with power to spare. Just a few minor scratches and blemishes.

  • The Bionic iPod

A few years ago the hard drive on my Ipod mini crashed. After some searching on the internet, I found that the mechanical hard drive could be replaced with a Compact Flash card. I installed it and brought my iPod back to life. After the new "drive" was installed, there continued to be a problem with the unit charging the battery; the battery didn't want to hold a charge. It was no issue to keep it plugged up all the time so it never bothered me. Well, 2 weeks ago, the unit started getting flaky and would unexpectedly reboot. Eventually, I could not get it to power up so I ordered this replacement board. When I received the replacement, I installed it and the and the iPod would boot up and charged the battery as it should! Fortunately, I did NOT have any problems with my screen. Unfortunately, in all the troubleshooting, the click wheel connector got damaged so I had to order another click wheel as well. So, I now have a completely recycled bionic Ipod; none of the internal components are the originals. If you have similar issues, I recommend getting this board. There are many tutorials on line how to open the Ipod mini and remove the components (Google "I Fix It Ipod Mini" as a starting point). Once you know the tricks, it's not that difficult...just be EXTREMELY careful with the click wheel connector!

  • Works good except battery doesn't hold charge that well...

Nice iPod but Battery doesn't last long... sometimes it works decent sometimes after charging for 1 hour, played 1 song said battery was dead but then plugged it back in and ejected it fast and held charge a while again.... I understand it's a used item but description said "18 hour battery" :[
