  • Bowie / Eno crossover

This good value cd has 2 interpretations of Heroes & Low, both were originally released separately so if you like this work then it's convenient to have them together. Low is the more accessible & atmospheric piece, while Heroes has a more industrial feel. I don't think this is representative of Phillip Glass's usual output, but listeners who like Eno may be familiar with his work, rock audiences may not take to this music. It's a classical technique treatment of what were originally rock albums, people who like ambient / trance will find it most appealing, as it's an instrumental interpretation Bowie fans will possibly not see the point as he was most well known for his songs. However, I recommend this music for those who like something trance-like or movie sound track like in their collection.
