    Triffid Trouble

    The one thing I always remember about this mini-series are the heroes using razor-discs to cut off the heads off triffids, and the gated triffid farm. Great acting, great writing, great effects. BBC at its best.

    A great adaptation of the classic Sci-Fi novel. Creepy, sometimes scary with excellent performances this early 80’s production holds up surprisingly well. Much like the more recent “Walking Dead” the thing to fear isn’t always the unnatural horror of the title.

    The best version of the book

    I enjoyed this when it was on the telly in the eighties so it's great to revisit this version which sticks pretty accurately to the John Wyndham book unlike a lot of other versions. The Triffids are particularly well done in their realism and menace.
