A fine caddy but note it's a USB A cable
I expected the caddy to have the interface attached to the case but it was loose. However, that's by design and, once I attached it to the drive, it fitted perfectly. The case is well designed for an SSD and the drive clips tightly in place. My only slight gripe is that the cable is USB A and not USB C so I had to use an adaptor. LUPO do not make that clear in the product details - they say "USB cable" but not which type.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I've tried many different ones. This is the best.
I've bought many of these over the years, all claiming to be USB 3, but speed wise, are anything but. This one is. It's as fast as it says it is. It's also easier to open up if you want to change hard drives. The only minor con is that if it's a slim HDD, it can rattle a bit. I just used a tiny piece of foam to prevent it. Perfect fit
I had a new, state of the art , hard drive fitted to my pc and , rather than throw the old one away , decided to use it for extra external storage . I bought this caddy from Lupo and, within minutes of it arriving I'd loaded my old hard drive into it. It fitted perfectly ; I snapped on the lid and the blue indicator light on the casing lit as soon as I plugged the included USB lead into my PC and I was up and running. Excellent quality and price - USB 3.0 3.5" Hard Drive Enclosure
I received this product after spending very little money on what I thought would be a tacky, cheap unit that would be a bonus if it lasted a few months and trips. I have to say, I was shocked when I felt the quality and thickness of the plastic, which had a very brushed and tactile feel to it. It was great quality and thick enough to absorb most general knocks and bumps. The USB 3.0 lead was (for the total cost) good, strong quality and was more than able to handle the extra data speed of the files I tested on it (both large and small). I was NOT expecting this to be a real USB 3.0 unit, as it was a lot cheaper that some of the others I had seen and almost purchased. This shocked me, and I am very pleased that I chose this unit, and would recommend this for anyone who is looking for the real thing at a very good price. Surprisingly good quality for the prce
Arrived well packed but with no retail packaging. Not a problem as this keeps the costs down. The two halves of the case are made of good quality hard plastic that fits together snuggly. Takes literally seconds to open it up and fit an HDD or SSD. After plugging into the computer takes a few more seconds for the drive to get recognised and then it's ready for use. Brilliant bit of kit, took my old 240gb s.s.d. out of my old p.c. Quick format and fitted into the external drive case which took less than 2 minutes and ZERO tools required.
