A MEATY plot
The first of this particular series seemed to be a very long introduction into the characters, and animals as if we'd never seen any of the previous Harry Potter films. Or read any books. Or know anything,... This 'Crimes of Grindelwald' is more like the original Harry Potters, a good, serious, devious villain who seems to be a prequel of Voldemort and his pure blood ideology. A potential leader who instills fear and loathing. And if you let your imagination run a little, there are some scary parallels to past and present day political leaders. I wait to see if its really true what Grindelwald says who Credence is.

Great Sequel
The story timeline precedes Harry Potter and is one of those films that you can watch time and again and spot something that you had missed previously. It may not make sense if you have not seen 'Fantastic Beasts 1', so I would suggest that it may be even more entertaining if you watch both together in chronological order.
