No squeals from my wheels!!
After over 1000miles I needed to replace my disk pads, I could not get any genuine Shimano pads during lockdown so I settled for a pattern product that seemed good quality at a fair price. However, first lot of heavy rain and the squealing from the disks was unbearable, they still seemed effective but the noise was terrible!! Have now replaced them with genuine Shimano pads and guess what! No squealing , I recomend only the genuine pads for replacement! First class 5 stars*****Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Defective Return Spring
I would have given this 5 stars but a few weeks after fitting these pads they started rubbing against the disc. I have been fitting and adjusting bicycle disc pads for many years and this has happened before so I readjusted them so they were correctly aligned but the problem persisted. I then removed the pads and found that the return spring was compressed when compared to an old Shimano spring. The metal of the spring was also soft and could easily be bent. I replaced the compressed spring with an old Shimano part and the problem was solved. I compared a similar set of pads bought from Halfords with these pads and could find very little difference in the packaging, so I cannot say with any certainty why there was a problem, just beware.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The real thing at a good price
The real thing. Yes there are cheaper 'equivalent' brake pads, which fit the same dimensions calipers, but how are they cheaper? Typically, lower quality and/or faster wear.
