Scale offers valued planning reference alongside the essential GPS detail.
what can I say... of course a good road atlas is compelling... every longer journey 'compells' it. It is valuable to have the new verson every few years. In route planning, we work between Atlas and GPS... the printed map informs in general and GPS guides in detail. Atlas information (some clues to topography, river systems, landmarks and nearby towns, make for a more enriching journey. I like the scale (4:1) and he A3 format. For example, both Glasgow and Edinburgh are on the one, double page spread and London's North and South Circular is joyfully on the same page... so, as good as it can be.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Get an A-Z map and why
Sat navs are great but you can't beat a good a-z this is the best - all AA maps show places of interest for things to visit on a road trip the things sat nacs don't - you can visually work out where you want to go what you want to see and where in Britain it is and if you want you can then set the sat nav up to get you there but if you get into a traffic jam pop out the map and work out an alter ative - yep I recon the maps are still useful even in this day and age - wouldn't go anywhere without oneVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
