Great value 4k pixel shifting projector
This is a great projector for the price. I upgraded from an older Panasonic (10 years old), so a big upgrade. Colors are vibrant and the deep blacks are tremendous. Projector worked great out of the box with no calibration, only adjusted basic color and HDR settings. Looking forward to seeing how dialed in I can get it! Super Projector
I moved up from a 5 yr old Sony that was great till the HDMI board failed and I couldn't find anyone around in S FL to service it. I decided to look at new units, started with a lesser model Epson and then settle on the 5050UB and really happy I did. The unit is a little on the large size, bigger than the Sony. It is quieter than the Sony. Brighter than the Sony with a new blub. The Sony was DLP, this is an LCD. I can't say the 4K is huge, as there is limited content unless you are doing BluRay. It seems sharper than Sony. It turns on faster and turns off faster than the Sony. I think Epson did a great job for the price and I'm very happy. Good projector but with imitations.
Brightness is better than I expected, but this is a limit of this projector. Audio out does not work well for me, The Trigger Mini Stereo out on standard or high setting does not work with my external speakers. I must use HDMI audio extractor with my DVD Player. Still, image quality is tops. The projector is large and heavy making my portable use challenging, but for the quality of image I embrace this challenge.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
