A hard yet simply fulfilling life.
Such a humbling movie on the life of Maud lewis. My favorite scene was when a lady asked her "What makes you happy"? And Maud stated " I don't require much". Talk about a powerful four letter sentence. How subtle have been the tacktick to evolve us into continual needing of entertainment, and an easy lifestyle. If it wasn't an indepentent film it would be nominated for a best movie Oscar. Maudie is my favorite film of the year. Sally Hawkins acting is extraordinary. My wife and I have watched it four times already and we are due for our fifth viewing shorltly. If you enjoy Art and root for the "underdog", I think you will really enjoy this movie. Best wishes.
