Choose the correct model
These are an excellent replacement ear pad for Focal closed back headphones. If used on the Focal open back range of headphones the sound is down graded you need to buy the Elite fenestrated version which up grades the sound. They really should not be sold stating that they can be used on the open back range “yes” they will fit but they turn the sound muddy. Regarding build quality and comfort they are excellent and a fantastic feel to the leather.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Surprisingly improved sound over stock pads.
I fitted these to Focal Elegia headphones. I use these with an Astell & Kern Kann Alpha. I bought the Non Fenestrated pads - (No Holes !) I found they improved the base weight over the standard pads... I was surprised at the improvement. I share a home office with the Mrs, she reckoned the isolation was a tad better as well. I tried them following favourable reviews - I would now agree with them !
