Autotek paints
Having carried out many years of DIY auto mechanics and body repairs I can honestly say I have used maybe 50 plus brands of paints and applied through airbrushes, aerosols and compressors. Aerosols are very handy for quick jobs with no messing about with getting extra tools out and I now always look for Autotek brand first. Firstly this lacquer does not go cloudy like some products, the coverage is excellent and the tins are always full tins unlike some manufacturers. Clarity of the lacquer is very good and paint finish with the supplied nozzle is brilliant. I have used far more expensive brands with less satisfying results. As long as you allow adaquate curing time you can get a perfect glass finish if required by finishing with 2000 wet or dry, cutting compound and polishing with a good wax. As long as Autotek keeps the same quality and price range I will no longer use other products.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

No diffuser ball!
No diffuser ball inside can so hard to agitate lacquer or to know when ready for use. Had a few accidents with nozzle when liquid started to spurt out and ruined a few guitar necks I was finishing. May have been faulty? I would not use again for these reasons.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Clearly does an excellent job.
I needed to repaint 2 small areas on the tailgate of my MPV where adhesive stickers, when removed, took off some of the clear lacquer. I rubbed down the areas and prepared them for respray and you would never know the areas had been damaged at all now. Worked fine for me
I used this Clear Lacquer on a metallic base coat .The end result is a super gloss finish at a fraction of the cost of body shop repair. Please note though I have many years of experience in Automobile repairs but it’s the first time I have used Clear Lacquer in an Aerosol.
