I searched for a small simple cd player. I found this one which was just fitted with my requirements. It plays well and is easily operated with a remote unit, not out of place in any room, and the very versatile alarm clock function an added bonus in my case. well, it was a cheap piece of kit. you would know just listening to the poor quality sound. and handling the fiddly poor quality switch for cd control volume control and so on.
