A useful additional for a DCC controlled train layout
Multiple sound effects and a great addition for a train layout which already uses locomotives fitted with sound. Its only downside is that the default volume is simply far too loud. However the defaults can be changed using CV programming. The weathering effect on the wagon is extremely well done and the quality of the model is nice, albeit the couplings are the 'Hornby Railroad' standard which I find surprising for a model of this expense. Indeed, no where on the box does it denote 'Railroad' which is the term that Hornby uses on its models that are cheaper and less detailed, but are considered rather more robust (less breakable parts on the model). Would I buy it again? Well yes, it is after all going to be primarily used as a static item on the track and a couple of them set to different sounds could add great 'atmosphere' to a layout's audio interest.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Can bring a dull model to life.

Brings a layout to life.
