double glazing film review
This is the third batch we have bought of this product. It is right on the limit for our five foot wide french doors, and it took three attempts to get it right without tearing the plastic. Repairs are easy by using Sellotape, especially if the edges lift off the tape. Do not over tension, as the plastic expands and contracts with the outside temperature. Great for draft exclusion and does make a difference. It also keeps the bugs out. In the Spring remove it and renew in the late Autumn. Make sure you have alternative ventilation if using a gas appliance.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A good alternative to double glazing
I gave 4 stars because the film can be tricky for 1 person to put up. I used it to cover very draughty balcony doors, which preferably would be covered much neater and better with a second person. Also the tape could be wider and stickier as some of the film started to peel away so I had to use some sellotape to stick down. It does a good enough job at draught proofing, and my apartment is now lovely and warm saving me heating costs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Needs improvement
It was very easy to put on a window on my own, no need for second person. However, the sheet started to come off from the sides where there were creases. So, the double sided tape is not holding the sheet in place if not put without creases which is very difficult to achieve.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Shrink film windows insulation kit
I purchased this kit to cover two large upvc framed windows which will be replaced in the summer. After cleaning the frame well and drying I applied the double sided tape and it became immediately obvious the tape had little sticky , I tried several yards of it in case it was just the end, the next day I got some new tape 25mm wide and was successful at fitting it first time , works a treat what a difference it makes good luck. Very easy to use
Each sheet is approx 3m x 2m and I was apprehensive about handling them in order to cut to sizes required. However they are folded very tightly with the folds perfectly aligned and it is thus comparatively simple to use the inter-fold distances to arrive at the size required without needing a very large working area.
