Easy to fit and very effective!
I send this to my daughter who lives in rural Japan each year as it is extremely cold there in winter and they have no central heating or double glazing. She says it makes such a difference to the warmth of the house and especially as she now has a new baby to keep warm. She can buy it in Japan but it is really expensive (£30 +) so this is a really good buy. I carefully followed the detailed instructions. It seemed fine and I was quite happy with it - for about a week, when it started peeling off. I would suggest the climate being damp and cold, this product fails. I bought the top brand rather than the £2 stuff - which is likely the same. Secondary Glazing of Leaded Light Window
I have spent many years trying to get someone to install secondary glazing to one leaded light window, 1.5 x 1.0 m in size without success. As I intended to keep the leaded lights, contractors quoted anything from " needs to be specially made" without feedback up to £800.00 plus from the highest mountain in the world, so I gave up trying. As we started to get into window steaming up season this year, and just having completed redecorating the hall where the window is positioned and by coincidence my son in law fitted secondary glazing film to two windows at his home. with success and on his recommendation purchased Stormguards product. Easy to use and makes a big difference!
It makes a huge difference, the heat stays in the room and it works just like a double glazing. Doesn't look super nice but it's not ugly either. Cheap and Effective Secondary Glazing
Have used this as secondary glazing for my parent's home for several years now. It is easy to cut and fix to the window and provides a cheap and effective barrier over winter. A must buy its amazing!
I did not believe this product could be successful and how wrong I was. Having finally purchased this product I took time and energy to follow the easy instructions to find that it is absolutely amazing! For many, many winters I didn't believe it could work so decided to save my money. How wrong was I and I only wished I had purchased it years ago because I have saved money now that it is in place. problems
Whilst the product, the material is good I did have issues with the tape. The tape amount is insufficient for the amount of clear vinyl, and it does not like plaster. Another issue I had was the finish on the edges after trimming, a white tape to cover the edges on P.V.C windows would make the finish look better.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Stormgard window insulation
I brought the kits in an attempt to insulate a caravan. It proved very easy to install and each pack covered a surprisingly large area of door/window. The light transmission is barely affected and the film is almost invisible Perversely the weather has got slightly warmer since installation was completed, but there does seem to be a noticeable difference in heat retention.
