  • Perfect EDC, Maybe

Perfect EDC knife in almost every way. Folks with bigger hands, say XL or larger, may have an issue getting a full-finger grip on the handle, but for the majority of people, this will not be an issue. Spyderco maintains its reputation for shipping some of the sharpest factory knives out there and in the case they didn't disappoint. I cannot comment on the strength or corrosion resistance of the BD1N steel as I haven't had it long enough. The blade flicks out easily and the compression lock is strong yet easy to snap close the blade. I would deduct .5 stars for the blade centering being a smidge off, but I have heard that this is common where the washer thickness is different on both sides--the Para3LW uses a built in washer on one side of the FRN scale. It's a heck of a knife and even better for the under $100 price.

  • My New Favorite EDC Knife

I was looking for an awesome knife made from BD1N steel, with a more substantial handle than my Delica 4. Also wanted a better steel than the Delica, but something easier to sharpen than my S30V Native 5. The Para 3 with FRN handle fit the bill perfectly. The handle feels great in the hand, the compression lock is much easier to flip out than the Delica or Native, and so far the sharpness is just at good as the Native 5. Really looking forward to using the Para 3 as my EDC!

  • Para (3) lightweight FTW!

Had to replace my para 3 from a rabid sell-off my best blades. I must say I’m pleasantly surprised that I like this one better. The light weight brand champ was Spyderco for years and then the bugout just made it ridiculously easy to carry around a utilitarian folder, well the para 3 has just stolen it back! I like the blade, grind, size and shape. I’m looking forward to collecting a few.

  • Spyderco Para 3

I never understood the hype til I held one. It’s light, it’s not too big, it’s not to small. It has a sweet compression lock. It’s made in the USA. It has a deep carry wire clip. It has everything that makes a great pocket knife great. It carry’s subtle and doesn’t hog the pocket. Honestly, the worst thing about the knife is… it’s too good! I mean, where do I go from here? For EDC it checks all the boxes. It almost ruins the desire for more knives…. Notice I said almost😂. Seriously, it is such a good knife.

  • Your pocket will thank you!

I am extremely picky about my EDC knives and the Para 3 is at the top of my list, from its compression lock, lightweight ergonomic handle, metal, and clip, it's a pleasure to carry. It has every one of the characteristics I admire most about Spyderco. It's not cheap but little treasures usually aren't.

  • Great daily carry knife-especially warmer months

Knife arrived in like-new condition. Was a little pocket lint in tight areas. Cleaned up fine. Blade was also in like-new condition. It still had the factory “Spydie” edge. It did arrive with a microscopic chip towards the tip. I worked it out with a Worksharp Field sharpener. I’m carrying it at this very moment.

  • Great for EDC. Good value and is an improved version of the Delica.

Light weight with a good, strong pocket clip. Very light and fits low in the pocket making it very discreet. Internal lock mechanism is a liner locker with a positive lock up. Top hole is large enough to easily manipulate and is not stiff.

  • Spyderco Para 3 review

Spyderco Para 3 is an amazing knife! From the blade quality, to the slimy, but sturdy feel, the deep carry pocket clip, and the supreme ergonomics, you can't beat the Spyderco Para 3 for the money.

  • Para3 excellent light weight carry knife

I just received my first Para3 C223PBK. I’ve been curious about this knife after having recently purchased a PM2. I can not say that it compares well with the PM2, I mean they are two different knives and I instantly prefer the PM2, however the PM3 is a good size for most people that would not want to carry a knife the size of the PM2. All in all an excellent knife and perfect for deep concealment and light weight carry. I think I’ll be passing this along to my girlfriend as I’m going to stick with the PM2. We’ll see maybe it will grow on me. All in all it IS an awesome knife! Buy one and you will not be disappointed.

  • One of the best EDC folding knives I have...

One of the best EDC folding knives I have. It is very recommendable because is not expensive but it's very well constructed, easy to deploy and also the CTS-BD1N is very easy to sharpen and holds the edge for a very long time.
