Superb GPS running watch. Why spend more?
Bought this to replace an older Garmin watch that we lost. I was a bit apprehensive because tech isn't really my thing, but for running I need pace, distance and time on feet. I was a bit apprehensive and my first run with it the pace seemed to be all over the place. But a few runs later it seems great and tells me what I need to know. There are many features and a lot of them I haven't fathomed out how to use and read, but it does seem reliable so far and is as easy or involved to use as you want it to be. If it's just a screen with time distance and pace you want, like me, it's there with no messing. Charging is easy. It also looks okay as a normal watch when not in GPS mode. A simple useful running watch.
I find some GPS sports watches too complicated with too many functions. The Forerunner 30 tells me what I need to know and links easily with my phone. I need to know distance, time elapsed, pace, energy used, climb and descent, heart rate and cumulative weekly running distance. Great watch for runners
A perfect watch for runners as it has all of the required functions for monitoring and tracking your running progress over time. Coupled with an online Garmin account you can analyse stats, compare with friends' training etc. The Forerunner 30 holds a good charge for days and picks up satellites within a few seconds for GPS tracking (independent of smartphone connection as so many 'fitness' watches cannot do currently). Poor battery
