Good product, good price, minor niggles
For a DIY’er this should be simple to put up, but its worth being really careful, there are a few places where one can make mistakes. Definitely there’s some drilling invoved (1/8” bit would work) and it would be worth drilling at slight angles to make the screws easier to drive. And with all these things, do think hard before leaping in to any stage of it. I very nearly went wrong. The table looks good and robust. The only real disappointment was that the wood hasn’t seasoned properly and there were a few splits in the end grain which will shorten its life. You get what you pay for so no complaints. Worth buying a can of preservative and soaking all end grain, especially the seat legs, for 24 hours.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

SLIGHTLY DISSAPONTED
Waited a number of weeks for this item. Arrived in ripped and torn cardboard packages. Fortunately, all items in these self assembly boxes seem to have miraculously not fallen out. The build was quite straightforward (about 2 hrs single handed) but the soft wood did start to split in places when putting in the screws. Tricky assembly but a good sturdy product
Others have mentioned its best to do step 4 before step 2. The pre drilled holes for the central struts are all on the same alignment so the first set of screws blocks the holes for subsequent ones making it necessary to drill new holes on a different alignment. Visually the end 2 pieces of the table top were not parallel to the central ones on the one I received making it look off. These are nailed on with very flimsy nails so it was possible to cut them at one end and reposition (lifting the table by holding just the top slats is not recommended). It looks fine now and I’m happy with the finished product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Solid, but.
Given tracking number but was unable to track on courier site. Item arrived early. Building of table was ok using the instructions provided. But you do need a power tool to drill some holes and screw together.When completed the table is solid but the seats has not aligned to the table top when it's been built correctly. Great table
Great table very sturdy no need to drill extra holes as other reviews have stated. Nice and straight forward instructions. I think this will last for many BBQs to come. I have a family of 5 and it will seat us all very comfortably for outdoor dining . But for 8 with food it will be a bit of a squeeze. Very good table and very sturdy. Instructions was easy enough to follow... ish!!!! Please do lay all the parts out first and seperate fixings etc. Makes it easier. There was a slight problem when i come to fit the table top - it didnt line up with the braces so i had to unpin the 4 blocks myself and refix using woodscrews. A simple job being a builder myself however it might not be for some one else. Overall i am really really pleased. The price is fantastic for what you get. Good chunky tannalised timber. Good value for the money but not perfect
I don't usually review items I've bought but I thought I would with this just so others are aware of a couple of small problems that occurred during assembly. Firstly the instructions tell you to position the seat legs flush with the back of the seat, if you do this, as I did, there will be a 2" gap from the table leg which needs to be screwed to the seat brace. Also the drawings show the table supports screwed together a certain way, this puts the seats off centre, they need to be symmetrical. The table top battens underneath were to long and poked out from under the table top so need to be sawn off. A little bit of quality control needed and a revised set of instructions maybe but overall a good looking solid bench well worth the money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

GREAT VALUE
Super quick delivery was a week ahead of estimated time! Apparently one piece was missing (which I wasn't aware of) and this was sent via courier next day. I had a slight design problem, where some pieces had been cut wrong but a phone call to their customer services found a way to sort it (with a little adjustment) my overall opinion is.. once put together these are great looking and good quality tables, the design problem I had was very much NOT the norm. Stable table
Arrived earlier than expected easy to assemble. Better quality than similar tables due to the timber size very stable when assembled. Just remember to put the cross pieces from the seats to the centre all on the same side of the seat centre block. Took me about an hour on my own. Round picnic bench
I had been looking for a round table for a while i wanted it to seat 8 people but at the right price. This table is fab it is easy to put together but i recommend two people do it,It has been treated,the wood is lovely, nice and chunky too (another thing i was looking for) Free delivery and excellent value for money.
