Excellent quality with great handling
A really great product at an affordable price. Not having a power lead enables you to go anywhere you want with no hassle whatsoever. The cutters are long enough to cut the whole width of the hedge in one pass. Also battery life is more than enough to cut all my hedges in one go. Better than expected
I expected it to cut a few feet of hedge and for the battery to go flat but I was pleasantly surprised. There's more energy in a 5Ah battery than there is in me so I'm tired before its flat. That said, I've used it more for bramble clearing than hedge cutting so far. Only negative is it doesn't have the power of a decent 240V cutter so it does slow you down slightly but that is outweighed by the convenience of no cable to cut through.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Brilliant Headge Trimmer
Ryobi has never dissapointed me in the past, and this hedge trimmer is no different! It is very ergonomically designed, as well as very functional and easy to use. It's significantly quieter than my old corded hedge trimmer (a generic branded one) and with it being cordless, it is so much easier and safer to use than a corded one. Using it with Ryobi's biggest 18v battery, the 9A/h battery, it used one of four bars of the battery for a fairly solid hour's worth of use. Very impressive! The only negative I've found is the blade guard for storage, is very tricky to put on after you're finished using it. Nice tool
This trimmer is nicely balanced in the hands. The blade was longer than I had expected but that is useful. It cuts very well and being cordless is a great advantage with no cable to worry about, either dragging it around and liable to get cut, or even having to be unrolled to reach the extremes of the garden. I had bought a companion pole hedge trimmer last year, but it is rather unwieldy for doing the sides of hedges and low ones. The ability of one battery to fit all machines is very good. Lightweight, convenient hedge trimmer
Good hedge trimmer. While it isn't fast (high revving), it has reasonable power behind it. Cuts through some moderately heavy growth. Up against my Stihl petrol cutter, it doesn't have a look in for power, but it is also a fraction of the weight and completely silent. For certain jobs, the trade off for power is well worth it! Cuts Well and 5 amp battery lasts
I made the decision awhile ago to standardise on the Ryobi one plus system and this hedge trimmer confirms my decision was correct. This cuts very nearly as well as my mains Ryobi trimmer of a similar size. After nearly an hour of relatively light trimming my 5 amp battery still had 3 out of 4 lights lit. A brilliant little tool.
