2008 Impala 3.5L took 8 mins works great

installed on a 2008 impala trans with 3.5L had hardly any room to install it. we turned the heater hose clamps out of the way for more room and easier access then went to crimp the 3 piece part on and the top part went flying to god knows where. it was easier to put the bushing only into the cable end and press it in from below with pliers a few times til it went in. then we just pushed it on the shifter ball til it snapped on with only firm pressure and done=fixed. took about 8 mins total. oh my 25 yr old non mechanic daughter was the one that did it. only suggestion i have is to just sell the bushing by itself $25 is a bit much

Fine once you get it right

It did the job once you finally get it installed and the right way. The instructions are too vague and I couldn't use the install tool. Visually, you think the bushing goes large opening facing shift arm...nope. the only way it would stay on for me was to put it on in the way that seemed backwards.

  • Great product!

Perfect fit and easy to install. I bought a universal kit at a well known auto parts store and could not make it work. I damaged the bushing trying to install it. I bought this kit next and it took less than 5 minutes to install. I highly recommend this bushing repair kit. I installed it on a 2013 Chevy HD2500 4x4 bottom linkage on the transmission. The stem of the install Kit did stick out a little when installed, but I was still able to install with a pair of pliers. It has been installed for about a month now on my daily driver with no issues at all.

  • Transmission bushing

This is a great solution for a part that apparently is a common failure. Watch the video and it's an easy fix. Doesn't seem like it should cost this much, but I can appreciate the developers product and it did save me from buying and replacing the whole cable.

  • Fixed my Saturn Aura with a minimum amount of cussing....

Well thought out product. Was for my '07 Aura... only problem was the cable end was way down in the engine bay. After fumbling for a while, realized I could pop off the connector end off of the cable with a plastic tie. Then it was a simple matter of putting the connector and bushing in a vice, install the bushing, then put the connector back on the car. Kit was probably over-priced somewhat - but - since I didn't need to bring the car to a mechanic I didn't mind.

  • Shift cable replacement ball joint.

It takes a little work to get it installed, but seems to be of good quality. If I have any issues with the kit I will reevaluate.

  • 2012 GMC Savana

Have the 6l90 transmission, and worked great for quick fix. Try to use flat channel locks like he does in video. Easier with flat mating surfaces. Kinda pricey for 1 bushing, guess that’s the price you pay for a quick, easy fix! 👍

  • Shift cable repair bushing.

Super easy to install, but in spite of that fact I really feel that the tiny little bushing that probably cost 25 cents to manufacture was extremely over priced at 25 dollars.
