The Shadows 20 Golden Greats on CD!
I am a big fan of instrumental groups of the 60s because I grew up in that era. The Shadows and Tornados are two of my favourite groups and their music is unforgettable and timeless. I mislaid my previous CD of The Shadows album and I don't recall buying the CD of the Tornados collection. I now own both collections. I have awarded 5-stars because I love the Shadows music. As for the CD medium itself, I have no feeling either way. CD is better than Record, which appears to be making a slow comeback. I doubt Tape will ever reappear as music recording medium.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It's a CD
I will try to stick to the facts as requested by eBay. This medium, designed for the carriage of digital information (in this case music), does all that it should. It has the information on it as advertised. It works with compatible equipment to produce the desired effect, i.e. the sound of the group 'The Shadows' playing their instruments. What in heaven's name do they expect in a review of a CD that has music that was released 40-50 years ago? Good grief. Listen to it first on a free music streaming service. If you don't like the Shadows, don't buy it. If you do like some of their stuff, then do buy it. If you do not have a CD player you will need one to obtain the best from this CD. Or you could use it as a drinks coaster. Or use it in the garden to try to scare birds away from seedlings. The Shadows are an Icon. It’s been over 60 yrs since Apache hit the top of the Charts, but their music and Hanks style are still copied by a huge number of guitarists today. This Album showcases all their early hits, and includes wonderful melodies, and technically superb musicianship. Timeless, full of nostalgia for the 60’s, and terrific music .
