Saves dismantling just plug in and charge.
I bought this to fit to my BMW e91 so when I use my optimate battery charger/conditioner so I don`t have to remove all the side trim in the luggage area to access the battery. The part was easy to fit and the car was on charge last weekend with no issues what so ever. High value, low cost lead to avoid discharged motorbike batteries
The Optimate charger for motorbikes works very well, however, getting it connected to a bike can be tedious and time consuming, so you put it off and result is a flat battery. This lead O1 avoids the routine hassle because it is connected permanently to the battery so you can connect the charger in an instant, meaning you actually do so every week or after every ride depending on the use you make of your bike. In winter of course, you can leave the charger connected via the lead indefinitely, ready for spring! The only hassle is the first time, to connect the lead, for which task you should leave time and have a cup of tea ready to toast your success. Choose a sensible route for the lead (it is quite long) so you can stuff the waterproof connector up into a side panel, say, but be able to retrieve it without cursing 'cos you can't find it. The lead is cheap enough to leave on the bike if you sell it so a buyer will guess the battery is in well maintained condition and will be delighted not to have the chore of fitting one - most riders do! It is also cheap enough to buy one for each bike and rotate the charger between them. The lead is fused in case you damage the lead or Optimate wiring. Other accessories will also fit the SAE connector including phone chargers but be aware the lead is always connected (the ignition key is bypassed) so running the battery flat would be possible. A converter between SAE and TM (Tamiya) plugs is also available if you have an older charger but connect this O1 connector lead to your bike battery.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
