As the bronze pick at the bottom of Pioneer's current DJ Headphone range (behind the X7's and the X10's), you don't expect these to be outstanding. But being Pioneer you do expect them to be quality. My problem with these is the interference that comes into the headset via any friction against the lead or against the outer casing on the phones themselves. It's like having a plastic bin put over your head and then being hit by a wooden stick. The sound quality is ok for £100 and if you can handle the external noise being amplified into your head during mute moments then you will be fine. I couldn't. If you can find a second hand pair of HDJ1500's or 2000's then go for them instead.
