This thing is excellent hardware at an excellent price.

Great preamp for mics, guitars, and a headphone amp. With 192 khz it's over the top awesome. I particularly love the fact that it has phantom power, and independent gain nobs for the line-ins, and for the headphone. The line in preamps's gain feature substantially reduce floor noise from my soundcard -- no need to boost the line in signal on the PC when it's already preamped. I was tempted to get a full featured mixer or a scarlet interface, but Behringer did such a great job with this thing that, for now at least, I'm really feeling happy with this one. It helped me to postpone investing in much more expensive hardware for some of the same features. Thanks, Behringer! :-D

This Unit Was Incompatible With My DAW

I have been recording via PC for over a decade and have had a number of sound cards and Audio Interfaces. I chose the Behringer U-Phoria UMC202HD as is seemed a good value with good specifications. However it would not function in my SONAR DAW. I wasted time and money on this thing and will not suggest anyone buying one.

  • Best bang for the buck!

If you want high quality, superior audio and affordability then look no further! Absolutely love it. Once I got it up and running with my DAW (which was insanely easy) I was able to track guitars and vocals line in on top of live drums. Have been using for about a month and it hasn't given out on me. (A lot of daily use/abuse). Very sturdy and won't get dinged up or cracked at all no matter if its dropped. I can't stop talking about this device! Thank you Behringer for pulling through. I might upgrade to the 4 input for additional inputs. Thanks,

  • Great for something so small and affortable

I started using the U-Phoria UMC202HD and fell in love with it right away. The sound quality and easy to setup (on a Mac) makes it so simple. The indicator lights keeps your recording at its best. The buttons and nobs feels high quality and gives you more precise. The connection is fantastic. I am going to say this as everyone that has one said about this product too; it is so sturdy. You feel that this Audio Interphase is the real deal. Grateful that I purchased this one.

  • Pretty decent piece, maybe one or two flaws.

You can't go wrong with this little fella, even if you own an audio interface already. This is a great piece for beginners, small home setups, people on the go, and for back up. Its well built, the knobs are solid, the mic amps are good enough to capture audio. Dedicated headphone volume is good. I think the only thing i didn't like about this piece is that their is no on and off switch, only needed sometimes on that rare occasion when i wake my computer from sleep mode and somehow it looses connection, but it is rare occurrence that happens very few times, most times it works flawless, and the times when it loss connection, i just pull the usb cable out and replug it, which leads me to my only concern, how many times can i do this before the usb port breaks. To avoid this you can reboot your computer.

  • Very pleased!

I am really impressed with this interface. I wanted the 404hd but after being informed that the release on that version was months away I took the plunge and got this one to try out and tide me over ... The sound quality is super clean on playbacks .. Very noticeably.. The pre's are great because there is a lot more control with level than other interfaces.. These ones aren't amped up and maxed out ...and with the added feature of the pad button I can get the perfect gain amount with any source. Bang for the buck here for sure! I would highly recommend anyone to find a better value at these prices.

  • BEHRINGER UMC202HD

I wanted to use my XLR mic that came w/my very expensive "prosumer" HDV camcorder - which is now outdated technology (but can still be used). The XLR mic that came with my camcorder sounds like a five hundred dollar microphone, and the Behringer UMC202HD is now allowing me to use this incredible sounding XLR phantom powered mic! After installing the drivers & rebooting, my XLR mic was recognized by Screencast-O-Matic. I am now going to be able to offer my YouTube subscribers a huge upgrade in sound quality - at such an amazing bargain! I am almost speechless. I'm also looking fwd to trying the included Tracktion 5 DAW software - so I can plug in a guitar next to my XLR mic and figure out how to record my own songs. I'm beyond thrilled!

  • Just buy it. RIGHT NOW. Not kidding!

This thing really changed the game for me, I was wanting to start recording and everything I saw for this purpose was WAY out of my budget. But of course, behringer comes in. Excellent pres, and amazing sounds. I love the direct monitoring feature as well. Sometimes I just play straight into it like that. It's great. Just keep in mind, there is no stereo A/B on this one. So if your running mono into one input it will come out only on the left or right with direct monitoring. It automatically pans in your DAW though.

  • Works great

Bought this as an audio device for my potable studio. Works better than expected except it only seems to work on one of my two USB ports on my Macbook. Sounds clean with little hiss, no cracks or pops either. No lag as well. Wish it had a mono/stereo split button but I recommend it for a simple easy to use interface

  • Easy to use, excellent quality

OK, this isn't a pro quality interface, but it's in the pro price range. You won't get a better recording interface for under $200.00. For the price it's a fabulous interface with low noise and plenty of headroom. I have recorded guitars and vocals through this with great results. Is it as good as my Focusrite Saffire Pro 40? Not quite, but it's damn close, and a fraction of the price.
