It does what it says on the box.
I like the lower speed especially for polishing and delicate work, but at the lowest setting it tends to stutter. The speed control is smooth and easy to use. I bought it because my old one, a 395 model type 5, burned out the variable speed control causing full speed only 30,000 rpm. Great product.....when it you get a good version that works properly.

This is my 3rd Dremel and have only just started to use it so I am hoping that this one lasts as long as my original one did, unfortunately the second Dremel the 3000 series failed very soon after starting to use it, but was out of warranty because my original had kept going strong. There is a large selection of accessories in the kit including the Flexshaft attachment which will allow me to do accurate close work whilst not having to hold the weight of the motor. I bought this dremel to do various work + glass etching and marking items, the one problem i have found is it gets very hot when using the flexishaft, i don't know if this is normal, i cant check the bushes they are covered,you must have to open the case, other than that its very versatileVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Useful gadget
