Full of Passione and sadness
La Passione is great for any listener, I believe, but even better if you are a Chris Rea fan who also likes Shirley Bassey. You see Chris happens to be my favourite solo artist, and my mother was a great Bassey fan. But the reason I bought this cd was because I watched La Passione on utube, and was amazed about it's storyline. The story of Wolfgang Von Trip, who was killed when his Ferrari crashed in an F1 race in 1961 at Monza, Italy. Trip only needed third place to become world champion, but he failed, killing himself and a load of spectators when he hit the rear wheel of the car in front and spun off the track. This sad story will grow on you the more you play it. A story about the young boy trip who had a dream. Chris sings about the dream, singing, 'I had a dream, it never came true,' ----and Shirley answers him in song. I actually love it. But watch the full La Passione on u tube which is around 18 minutes long before you commit Gerry.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
