One of the better sci-fi films to come out of the 1950s, ROCKETSHIP X-M is a serious thriller that boasts excellent black and white photography (the Mars scenes have an eerie red tint), fine acting, and mixes an intriguing plot and sophisticated science with some rather bizarre fifties naivete, making for a thoroughly entertaining trip into space.
