This 10-part HBO television miniseries focuses on Easy Company, a group of American soldiers in World War II, tracking their experiences from the beginning of boot camp to the end of the war. Anchored by actors Damian Lewis and Ron Livingston, the series gives detailed attention to their experiences as a group, as well as the way that each of them develops individually. Based on historian Stephen E. Ambrose's book of real-life accounts, BAND OF BROTHERS was executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, who worked together on SAVING PRIVATE RYAN. Hanks also directed one episode, featuring his son, Colin Hanks.

Band of Brothers DVD boxed set.
I watched this series years ago and missed the last two episodes, for some reason I went on holiday… This purchase was a great find and a fantastic bargain, the price was amazing, if it was Forty quid I would have bought it but for TWELVE pound for this excellently presented boxed set that runs for over 780 minutes is just amazing. The bargain of the year.

Band of Brothers the story.
This boxed set is very good value for a very small price; its a gripping war yarn with excellent characterisation, and authentic looking sets. My enjoyment was somewhat spoiled by the poor quality of the sound track, I suppose this was probably an ex rental or similar well worn product, but at a good price.

A great box set
I really rate this series. I like the link to the real story and characters. The experience of these guys in WW2 was amazing - they experienced things that most of my generation never did. It must have had such a huge impact on their lives. The story unfolds in a gripping way. The acting is superb. The realism of the battle scenes is incredible and at times genuinely scary. Definitely a box set that demands to be binge watched.

The title really encapsulates the theme of the series, a real Band of Brothers.

Every one should watch these.
Would give '6 star' if I could. Delivered on time and in great condition, No scratches on the DVD's. Never get used of the blood and deaths but every person should watch these. Fantastic series, watched all of the disks already and will definitely watch them again pretty soon. I cannot praise this series highly enough.

tells the horror well
this is a great set of discs at good price and delivered in good time. these 8 discs tells you the horror of war very well. the us army story starts on d day until they reach berlin. the facts hides nothing about the pain and suffering these boys took so that we can be free.also the friends they made on the way.

Best Value DVD
This is just the best telling of some of the events of the second world war. You go on the journey with the guys from Easy company 101st airborne. Getting the historical feedback from the actual guys in the unit, many of whom have now sadly passed. There are a couple of inaccuracies the episode about Albert Blithe for one. ( I will let you research that) rather than spoil it. Enjoy
