    Good old classic film.

    Having seen the new version of Papillion, it made me want to watch the original, to compare both. When watching the new version, it was difficult NOT to see the characters being played by Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman. In my opinion, the original film was the best, and more realistic.

    This is based on a true life situation . I think Hollywood may have embellished on it but I do believe that the penal service in those days was truly harsh . This is a truly entertaining film and could watch it over and over again , unlike some of the modern day movies
