Makes You Think Twice!
I really really love this film. Beautiful, hard hitting at times, powerful story. The lead characters play a blinder, very heartfelt and so well played. Watched it a couple of times and enjoy it every time. Well acted with powerful performances on coping with having a close family member with a drink problem and being an alcoholic though this isn’t obvious from the start. Thought provoking, moving, sad and very powerful film. Certainly worth watching even once.

Andy Garcia is the long suffering husband of Meg Ryan who is an alcoholic. We follow their trials and tribulations which are tear jerking .Some people may regard this as too upsetting but it does turn out well in the end.

Enjoy a tear, rejoice at the power of love
If you don't cry when Garcia turns up at the AA meeting and finally speaks to the group, if you don't cry when he hears his wife's speech, if you don't SOB when he turns up to tell Jess he's leaving... This just isn't the film for you. Stick to guns, fast cars and explosions

A beautiful relatable film
This film covers a subject many experience either first second or third hand. Alcoholism can hit many families and this portrays it beautifully. A must see in my opinion with Percy Sledge singing When a Man Loves a Woman to top it off - just brilliant. Cert 15
