Based on a novel by H.E. Bates, the 13-part miniseries LOVE FOR LYDIA compellingly recreates the heady abandon of the 1920s Jazz Age through the story of a young girl's transformation from shy teen to wild flapper. Heiress Lydia Aspen (Mel Martin) dances the Charleston as easily as she flits from one lover to the next, among them a struggling young writer (Christopher Blake) who earnestly loves her. The cast also includes Jeremy Irons in one of his earliest major roles, several years before his breakthrough in BRIDESHEAD REVISITED.
