An Incredible Performance by a Fine Actress!
This has always been one of my favorite movies with Jane Fonda, along with They Shoot Horses, Don't They. It was a tumultuous time for her and the rest of us in the anti-war movement when Nixon and J. Edgar made us all out to be un-American if we didn't support their war machine. We were not anti-U.S. We were anti-war and we wanted our troops out of Vietnam. My brother was over there at the time. Can't go wrong
Though this edition probably pales next to the new one from Criterion, this is still a great film from New Hollywood and Jane Fonda (please hold the politics indefinitely) gives one of the best performances ever to win the Oscar. At a reasonable price, I have finally been able to add this DVD to my collection. It's not in Blu Ray but it's a very good copy of the movie.
