Reviews"...PUSH THE BUTTON finds Money Mark exorcising his '80s demons....Mark excels even further in 1960s and 1970s soul territory...", Included in Wire's "50 Records of the Year 1998in, "...Money is determined to use everything the good Lord gave him, and while this means suffering through some dorky pop shit, the instrumental jams make it well worth the ride.", "On this sophomore effort, the Beastie Boys' moonlighting keyboard player actually improves on his unjustlyignored 1996 debut, proving himself more a formidable straight-up song stylist than anyone would have suspected..." - Rating: A-, "...zigzags across the genre map, taking in guitar pop, Latin jazz, drum 'n' bass, and just about all points in between....If all this diverse material can claim a common ground, you'll find it in the pop, soul and funk of the late Sixties and early Seventies..."
The cd: Push the button is great. It's one of his albums. The album has received very good reviews from Pitchfork and other reviews websites.
I really enjoy the music of Money Mark.
He's one of the first to contribute to the Lo-fi genre.
I definitely recommend his
A very simple and assuming album with a lot of feel good funk. There is a feel to it (can't put my finger on it exactly) - that Mark only did it because someone else made him ...
That doesn't detract from the album - it's cool.
