So close to 'Brilliant'
The multidimensional element of the MCU characters continues to build in this easy going, fast paced sequel to Avengers. The cast is uniformly excellent and it's genuinely entertaining to see their interactions - developing both from their comic book origins and each players stand-alone film universe. Flaws are deep however. Both Ultron and The Vision are introduced in such a garbled, slap-dash fashion that neither really make sense or hold the weight they deserve. Spader's Ultron had the capacity to be far more dark and menacing - especially since he's the main threat that drives events. But his performance is underpowered and wasted. The problems with The Vision will be (and are) resolved in later films. I hope that another, longer cut of the film exists - that we may see at a later date.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
