    Horrible Histories: Addictively Brilliant

    This is the eighth season of the historical sketch comedy series so the law of diminishing returns applies a little as this dvd might not be as inspired or endlessly rewatchable as previous seasons but it is still a lovable and excellent show. Originally broadcast on CBBC, Horrible Histories is so much more than just a kids show, it is incredible entertainment for all the family and is often hilariously educational. Beautiful cinematography with amazing production design, sets and costumes this is a stunning and classy series. New cast members include Harrie Hayes, Mike Wozniak and Phil Wang, with special guest appearances from Dara O'Brian and Dani Dyer. 14 episodes ( including 3 clip shows ), with alliterative titles Putrid Politics, Moon Mayhem, Chaotic Collabs, Fantastic Firsts and Mayflower Malarkey. Alas no dvd extras, featurettes or bloopers. I believe they had planned a 15th episode called Outrageous Olympics but then the Tokyo Olympics were cancelled so they postponed the episode. I can't wait for season 9!
