The Makita LS002 XGT 40Vmax Slide Compound Mitre Saw has a powerful brushless motor that provides consistently smooth cutting. A soft start feature and electric brake provide increased user safety. The rail-forward design allows the rear of the machine to be placed close to the wall. There is a front knob for easy bevel adjustment and holders to support wider workpieces. The XGT 40Vmax range is equipped with special electronics providing digital communication between tool, battery and charger. This allows the charger to provide the optimal charge to the battery depending on the status of the battery, whilst the tool can respond to the status of the battery by optimising performance to the battery level. Compatible with the Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS), connects to compatible dust extractors via Bluetooth®.

Incredible saw
Best mitre saw I’ve used, really compact and light but still has a great depth of cut. The rail system is smooth as silk and its has every feature all the top saws have but in a tiny package. (Depth stop/double bevel/shadow line etc.)Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Makita LSLS002GZ01 216mm 40V mitre saw
I bought this saw through eBay as cheaper than actually buying it from the store. Cracking bit of kit. So smooth and better than my old electric one being a 40v. There is one slight downside to be aware of at the moment and that’s the batteries are quite expensive being 40v and not 18v although I do believe the price will come down at some point.
