Great in the country but very expensive
This is very expensive but there are no real options so, having read the reviews, I bit the bullet. Sure enough, in a rural area with light traffic it's great and I would buy it again. What's good: - it's extremely accurate - gets every car, no false alarms - it integrates very intuitively into the head unit. On my Wahoo it uses a thin column to show approaching cars and the LEDs as an alert. The first car in a while beeps and flashes to get your attention while subsequent cars just keep the lights on - fine in group riding; you can't trust it to catch the cars with someone right behind you but it's not constantly sounding off due to the other cyclists - it's well designed and well made. Solid construction, easy pairing, single button with intuitive function. What's not good - the price. It feels (almost) literally extortionate to charge this much for a safety device without competition. Of course, I don't know how much the BoM costs but I strongly suspect there is a very large markup here. I hope the free market will redress the balance!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice piece of kit
I'm in to gadgets & cycling so this was a no brainer for me. I've only used it a couple of times but it seems to do a good job of warning you of what's approaching from behind, not that you can do much about it but at least there's no surprises. It connected easily to my Garmin Edge 1000, though I did turn the Varia off for a coffee stop and the Garmin didn't reconnect... bit odd. The light is OK but could do with a few more lumens. I used it on a group ride and my fellow cyclists appreciated it each time I yelled out "Car back!!". At least I think they did 😃Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
