Easy to set up and fun to work with.
I had had Cannon Pixma before I bought this new model. The last ne lasted me for years without a problem. I decided to upgrade to a new version and decided to buy TS5051. It was easy to set up. The print quality is better than the last one. You can print your documents via Wi-Fi and Copy and Scan the documents. These functions are new to me but it did not take long to get used to this new printer. All in all, well pleased with this new printer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Don't buy if you want foolproof printing
Yes, easy to set up, good value and good print quality but terrible instructions to get the printer to actually work. Can't get it to print double sided, can't change the default settings, changing the paper size from A4 to any other size is a nightmare. The screen on the printer is no help at all, the on line manual is useless. I have the latest Mac and the drivers didn't work on initial set up. I do not recommend this printer. Excellent all in one printer, works well with Linux
Bought to replace 10 year old HP Photosmart C7280 all in one printer. Canon TS5050 shows how printers have advanced. Had initial problem setting up the Canon using Linux, but installing Gutenprint drivers quickly solved that. Scanning also works well using generic Linux programmes, such as Simple Scan. Printer is compact, looks good, has individual colour inks for economy, straight through paper feed which makes printing on thicker card possible. It is also so quiet and quick to start up compared to the old HP printer. Very impressed!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Love it! Great with heavy card!!
Love this printer. Works fantastically well with 300gsm card stock. If you choose photo/best the print is exceptional. The really great news though is you can use compatible inks and it accepts them as genuine and they are not wet. Fabulous from your phone too using the selphy app. During set up get your Wi-Fi password in first if using a computer otherwise gets stuck in a loop. So add it via Printer screen first then computer can find it. If you are using phone the Canon selphy ap runs it through easily. Well worth it so far.!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good but need Windows 10
I like this printer however did not realise installation won’t work if you only have Windows 7!! Had to abandon installation, get Windows 10 installed, then use CD to install printer. Seemed to work in the end and I’m not good at technology!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good printer for the price.
Good quality printer but a bit slow to print and 'My Image Garden' software (silly name) not very intuitive. Great value for the price though. Ink cartridges are very expensive, use compatibles which are much cheaper.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good printing made easy
I found it quite easy to set up, especially when taking photos off my phone using the Canon app also it seems to be very economic with the amount of ink it’s using. TOP DRAW PRINTER
This printer is very good, plenty of back up should you have a problem, however much general maintenance can be done by using the tools which are supplied. Print quality is very high and the ink usage is great,, I use my Canon a lot and it has not let me down yet.
