Really surprised!!
I am 69 years old. I have been a practicing musician for over 50 years. Needless to say, I have had just about one of every thing when it comes to PA systems. I even currently own the very new and highly acclaimed. Turbosound IP 2000. I bought the BA 330, because I need something east to carry around. It is light and I love the handle on the top, which allows me to carry it with one hand. I practice in an empty garage with a 12 foot ceiling. This Roland beautifully does everything that it is supposed to do. Very nice sound all around. I usually use a mixer, but found I don't really need one, now!! I make my own tracks and and play them thru a Roland cd/sd recorder, which sits on top of the BA 330. My microphone is the Heil PR 22. Can't get any better than that for simplicity. Thanks Roland... Not quite what I expected
For a little cab unit it may be ok for a practice unit. It has no reality of playing out in public. No true bass response or karaoke possibilities even. It’s a practice amp. A toy really. It sounds ok with acoustic guitar and a vocal perhaps Just fooling around and practice. I’m selling mine. I would return it but I was stupid to buy a non returnable. Excellent for outdoor wedding ceremonies.
To DJ's out there looking for an ideal system for situations that require a battery operated PA, this is the ticket. Even better if you have two. A bit more expensive than some of the other options from American Audio and others, however, I love the balanced sound curve, the input flexibility, and the fact that it will take only 8 AA batteries to power it for an entire evening.
