CRT 'Superstar' SS6900N 10m Multi Mode AM/FM/SSB/CW Tranceiver.
I already own a CRT S Mini, so decided to buy a SS6900N from CRT, these are actually made in China. I have been putting the radio through it's paces since yesterday and have to admit, I like it a lot. Straight out of the box, I was impressed but the Mike doesn't quite cut it for me, it's way to small, It works ok though, but will be replaced sooner rather than later. It is 'Made' to a price, but doesn't look it, actually it looks pretty sleek, one thing I did find which I felt could have been easily rectified was the Mounting bracket, it's edges were 'Razor' Sharp? The Blue display is quit cool, sort of like a VW Dash lights, they cannot be dimmed though which surprised me. This Radio has a two year warranty, which is good. as for the controls, they look 'Old School', but I like that, although the Clarifier isn't as it has 'Click' settings which I find a bit weird and a couple of other functions as well?? The Manual's are adequate, however a 'Newbie' might struggle a bit, I was ok but a little more explanation wouldn't have gone amiss. For the money, it's hard to see how it could be beat though.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice and blue.
For the price its a lot of radio, the updated version with its blue button accents makes it stand out, however a control for the brightness of the led screen ect would be a great addition, all in all I am more than happy with my purchase, make sure to have it pre programed....Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Had this about a year and really like it and had no problems and works very well. Changed the mic to a power microphone and get very good radio reports. Liked the radio so much I now have two of them.
