Nice book scanner - takes practice but works well
This is a a nice little book and document scanner. It works flawlessly on flat documents. Very fast and sharp images. Much easier than a flatbed scanner and SO MUCH FASTER, too. This type of scanner allows you to scan books without bursting the bindings and trimming the edges to fit in a sheet-fed scanner. When scanning books, it takes some practice and experience to get really good, straight results. The software is easy to learn and use, but, again, works slick and easy for flat documents, and takes some practice scanning books. Images captured with this scanner have higher resolution and clarity than similar images from a $13,000 scanner at the University Library. This scanner is different from a typical flatbed document or photo scanner because it produces JPEG images which can be converted to PDF and other formats.
