    Quality at a good price

    Very good quality, on a par with branded items I have. Materials are well finished and weather proofing (IP66) looks good. All fittings are included, the cable gland fitting is a bonus, although I use conduit trunking, but useful to have. This is a good value item, would buy again and recommend.

    Socket is not central

    The quality is good, easily installed but appliances with moulded plugs, and that's almost everything, have to be manipulated for the cover to be closed because the socket is not central in the frame. It looks like a standard socket has been adapted for use. With the isolating switch, the socket sits slightly to one side. Not ideal but still usable. Good value for money but if you want one designed for the job, pay more and make your choice. Overall, fine.

    Needs improvement

    We were unable to close the lid due to the thickness of the 3 core cable. Cable was the mains 3 core for a chainsaw, we removed one of the two cable seals and just managed to close the lid. Lid catch is under a lot of pressure and feels like catch is not going to last. We tried other electric garden tools with the same problem, now we don’t close the lid. Lid catch is very flimsy and is going to brake. Position of the cable exit seal is not inline with the 3 pin plug so all cable have to pulled/ held across to close the lid. See attached pictures. Good point is when you manage to close the lid it scenes to be water tight. Jay in wet Sheffield

    Does what it says it does

    This is a good quality out door socket. Easy to fit, and value for money. The only negative aspect is the latch that keeps the lid closed is very tight, and may be a problem for those who have little strength in there fingers.

    A good product

    Does the job of outdoor socket perfectly well. Its has a locking tab on for a padlock to stop of the neighbours using it off an extension. My only concern is, as with all plastics, will the latch eventually break off?
