Waterproof my convertible car roof
OSaw this on YouTube so I bought it to re proof my convertible car roof.Once I washed and cleaned the car roof and left it to dry naturally I began to paint this product on and it's so easy to apply. Bought 2 cans but one would have done the whole roof but I like to overkill to protect my asset. Once I applied the product and left it to dry naturally not in direct sunlight but in the shade,the outcome was really good it looked like a brand new canvass roof on my car it enhanced it and made it appear much darker. The next day around 5am I could hear the rain coming down really hard bouncing off the road....I went down stairs to look out the window and FABSIL really works! The rain was Sat on top of my car roof not penetrating the canvas but there apoered to be an invisible barrier protecting the surface of the canvas roof! Buy this with confidence if you clean whatever you want to waterproof let it dry naturally,then paint on FABSIL once again make it dry naturally it will protect whatever from water or rain....10/10Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT.
I brought this as my waterproof motorcycle gear started to leak. I followed the instructions that are on the label and guess what? It made no difference! My clothes all leaked as much as before! I applied 6 coats leaving 24 hours between coats, which is 4 times longer than the stated drying time. I'm quite disappointed, the product wasn't cheap, it took time to apply which is now wasted time and worse still, my clothes still leak and it's coming up to winter. Outstanding Performance On My Soft Top Canvas Roof
I brought this to treat the soft top of my 2006 SAAB and it's been brilliant in every way. Highly recommended and, as it simply paints on with a brush, there's no longer any need to wipe up any overspray off the paint work and windows. Water it beading and running off the canvas like a freshly waxed hard top, even after been under the thick snow for a week and then the torrential rain, it hasn't failed once. It's what I've been looking for to seal out the moisture and rain and much better than the leading brands advertised and sold in Halfords Make sure you get the Fabsil Gold over the normal Fabsil, as it has 5 times more silicon in it to keep the water beading.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

simply the best
fabsil GOLD is a superb product,probably the best,waterproofs my walking jackets no worries about getting wet even in the worst weather.Make sure you choose the GOLD version as there is a cheaper fabsil product.The gold edition is said to be 5 times better than the other fabsil which to say is,nt a bad product justs needs regular waterproofing.Make sure you wash your garments before treatment.GOLD the BEST.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fantastic Stuff
Bought this to waterproof my boat cover, so easy to use just pour some into a container get a clean brush and off you go I did mine in sections and after I brushed on the Fabsil Gold took a soft cloth and rubbed it in. Then left the cover to dry for half a day. Put the cover back on the boat the next day and It rained all day and the water just ran off the cover and sat as water beads after the rain stopped so it worked a treat. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to waterproof a boat cover or tent or similar. I even used it on an old canvas engine cover that was cracking and it worked on that too. Fabsil Gold on a convertible car roof.
Think the 'Amazing' rating is a bit over the top, the 4**** 'better than expected' is not really true. I am however initially impressed with the result. I've applied 2 strong brush coats to the top on a convertible car and water beads and runs off as per other users reviews. Did local masking to prevent any runs but this is definately a more efficient method of application than the spray option. Will have to wait and see how long it lasts in comparison to the Autoglym that I've used before but if it is equally as good will definately buy and use again. 14th October - Just had a mojor downpour and the rainwater beads and runs from the roof exactly the same as car body which is polished with Mer, much better than Autoglym, ( now probably worth the 5*****) Looks like a winner !!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Convertible Roof - Audi
I have used most of the Auto Waterproofing Products for my Audi A5 Soft Top. Non seemed to last or improve the water resistance or condition. frustrated with it looking tatty and absorbing water I Took a chance on Fabsil Gold and I couldn’t be more pleased. The product applies easy using a clean paint brush and just a case of wipe away odd drips onto glass and body work. Dries and absorbs into the cloth quickly. No residue or film to be seen. 1ltr tin enabled me to coat my hood three times. The colour is enhanced and now a richer deep black, looks almost new again. It’s rained a few times now and the water just bibles up and sits on the roof then runs off. Very pleased with this product and now I wouldn’t use anything else.

All the good things you have read are 100% correct
Just amazing. So easy to put on, soaks in well but not through the material. We used a spray bottle to spray on to our tents fly sheet. Wiped off the excess with a cloth 2-3 minutes afterwards - repeated after working around the tent. Then after 2nd coat, went round and did all seams a third time. Left to dry for 2-3 hours. Completely water proof, beaded water beautifully. Packed away by folding the fly sheet rather than scrunching it up. Took out 2 weeks later, tested - perfect. No visible cracking, no water got through. Ronseal like product - does exactly what it says on the tin, perfectly.
