Such a great purchase
I love this vacuum. Now I have only had it for a month, so I can’t speak to the longevity. However, I researched for quite a while and concluded that every vacuum has some negative reviews. What I like about this one: the dual function. My space is not even, many floor types, many small spaces. The ability to just pop off the handheld vacuum is invaluable. The handheld also hangs beautifully from the standup, so don’t believe the reviews that say the vacuum doesn’t stand- they aren’t using it correctly. The attachments are great- and there are more for purchase , though I haven’t found a need for them yet. Super long cord which is helpful. Emptying the dust trap is incredibly easy, and that’s just the reality if you are going to go with a bagless vacuum. This works great on my area rugs as well. the shark rocket is light weight and portable, especially compared to my upright. it cleans stairs well, easy to go up 12 steps with no problem. it works well on rugs also, I was thinking of getting the cordless one now to eliminate the cord but was unsure of the battery life so I will wait and see. 1. No it doesn't stand up by itself but you can push a button to disconnect the motor and hang it on the hook just above the sweeper and it stands up just fine. 2. It has 2 speeds and they control the speed of the brush and not the power of suction so I mostly leave it on hi, it picks up better. 3. The first soft roller is like a duster and wipes the dust off your hard floor much better than just the brush roller by itself.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Amazing lightweight vacuum, super suction and power.
Super pleased with the Shark HV382 DuoClean Ultra-Light vacuum. So extremely easy to assemble. I found it has amazing suction, so much, that it feels like it's moving on its own. On thinner carpeting, you will need to make sure to keep a good grip on it. The Shark Rocket picks up more than my Bissell. I have a 3 story home and purchased this just to handle the 1 level, however, I fell in love with this, I use it also on my sets of steps. Also a major plus factor, the cord is long, I can take it from room to room without having to unplug and relocate. Great follow-up to a previously great vacuum
We owned the first Shark Rocket version, which performed like a champ for a bunch of years. It started to malfunction (after speaking with some other owners, I realized this issue was of my own doing and not the machine). We decided to go for the newest version of the Rocket and we're glad we did. One great thing was the attachments from our old model fit the new model perfectly. Also, the new Duo Clean technology is excellent. Being able to vacuum from tile to carpet and back to tile without needing to change heads makes the time go so much quicker. The new version also glides / rolls a lot more smoothly than its predecessor and the motor is about 50% quieter. The lower volume is worth its price in gold. One thing that I see many people talking about is its inability to stand up when wrapping the power cord. It's very simple; just remove the head and set it on its hanger for storage. It just takes a second. This way, the vacuum stands perfectly and makes wrapping the cord a breeze. I know this part isn't a review of the product, but Shark's customer service was excellent to me. I called for a full rundown of the differences between this model and the Lift-Away. The woman on the phone was very knowledgeable and helped me decide on what I really needed. We own many products from Shark Ninja (this vacuum, the floor steamer, coffee bar, and Nutri-Ninja. This company makes solid products at affordable prices.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Lightweight and cleans very well
This vacuum is the best so far. The duo clean feature works great on hardwood floors and carpets as well. We have 2 cats that shed constantly but that is no problem for this Shark. Sittin' on Ready
That's what we like most about the Rocket. We need it a great deal, and it's so lightweight and easy to maneuver that we don't hesitate to grab it and go to work. The extra roll in the front is a new and useful feature that just rolls the problem right into the machine and whisks it away. I especially like the maneuverability, as it easily cleans under our kitchen counters in the toe space like no other sweeper. Shark pet vacuum
Getting use to it , took some time . I love the easy switch from floor to rug . Ickes up all my dogs hair fast , Trying to get use to the swivel . Love how the attachments are so accessible. Love the lights on the front. Had a Kirby and the shark is much easier to use . It's also lighter . Have to be careful cause I keep banging into things .
