Quality but maybe over complicated
Bought to replace older salus model that regulated the heating in 0.5 degree chunks, and didn't turn it off until it was way over the set temp. This model works very well at keeping the temp at the set mark, turning it on and off much more intuitively, and it can be set in 0.1 degree intervals. So i am very pleased that it does what I bought it for, however it does seem unnecessarily complex to set, there are functions that don't apply to my boiler, and you seem to have to set all six timings per day each time you want to adjust one, otherwise it doesn't save it. That aside, it works fine and seems very good quality for the price bracket.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very flaky
Worked fine for a week then during the night, 2:50 am the backlight of the screen came on. It woke me up, the screen was flashing from schedule to the normal time and temperature. It would not respond to any of the buttons so I removed the batteries. Next day I re- inserted the batteries and it appeared ok but later the led backlight came on again and it started switching between schedule and the normal display again. I did a total factory reset and re- programmed the thermostat but the problem came back again. Since then I have left it downstairs, not on the bedside cabinet and it seems to have settled down again . Don't really trust it now.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The thermostat looks good, it's easy to set up. Two downsides though. The thermostat shows the temperature higher by at least 2 degrees (checked using semi-professional probe). Second one is the manual does not show all possible connections, in my case to connect a bit older combi boiler I had to look for help on internet forums. Easy to use programmer.

Good value 'boiler plus' compliant wireless controller.
excellent wireless programmable timer. Importantly, it makes a modern boiler 'boiler plus' compliant without having to add any other sensors to the boiler -- so can save money when installing a new system, and you dont have to start drilling holes to fit an external boiler sensor etc. If you can set a digital watch you can set the timer on this one. Instructions are good enough. The boiler plus settings are there if you want them or you can just ignore them. Enjoy a portable controller and you can just override/manual control the timer from the wireless controller 0r most importantly there is a simple manual override boiler on/off switch at the wireless receiver- just in case.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Programmer
It's a bit early to give a full "indepth" review but here goes! The quality of build appears to be a least equal to other more established makers and the viewing screen is very good. All I wanted was a programmer that I could set tempretures and times up on a daily basis. The internal terminals are large enough to accomodate "loop-in loop-out" connections.The programme set-up is easy when you have done it once and it has loads of other features that my wife found (much to my embarrassment) whilst "playing with it"! Good functioning
I received this product within a week after ordered. Good functioning and easy to install it. I don't see any problem on the inaccurate clock or timer as somebody mentioned before. One thing that I would like Salus to improve is the terminal to insert the wire at receiver. I think it is too small and the screws to lock the wire are too small and not look strong. Disappointing and frustrating
We really do not like it. It does come with installation instructions but not user instructions. The user needs to find the right website (there are two just to add to the frustration) and download a print a lengthy document. User functions are not intuitive at all.
