Additional Features Are Great
Always had a Weber Kettle and loved it, but the extra features on the Performer take it to the next level. I would have given 5 Stars, but: 1. There was a broken leg clamp in the box, which is a part that is difficult to determine how it would have gotten broken. 2. Assembly was quite easy, but upon initial use, the two bolts that hold the cradle for the cover protrude too far into the kettle, making placement and removal of the cooking grate difficult to place and remove, especially when the coals are hot. 3. While the center, circular, removable part of the cooking grate is a nice feature, it tends to fall out easily when you are cleaning it with a wire brush. The work surface allows you to have everything you need at your fingertips. The propane starter feature is amazing. It eliminates the hassle of stuffing paper into the chimney and all the resulting smoke while the paper burns. The propane gets the coals started very quickly. Awesome grill!
This grill is perfect for our needs. It has nice table space, easy charcoal lighting with the propane system, and extra features you won't find on other grills. When you are done cooking you can replace the lid, close the vents, and it will smother the unused charcoal leaving it for your next use.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
