excellent product. The old part just wore out through fair wear-and-tear where the bar meets the housing, and the nice thing about this item is that it is an exact fit - and it even comes with the screws.

Well worth the money.
Its amazing what you put up with. We have had the Dyson for about 15 years, and have not replaced any parts. Fitting the new brush has put new life into the vacuum. We knew the old one was not picking up some of our dogs hairs, but the knew one has cleaned up everything. Well worth the money.

This is a genuine part which can be fitted to the DC40 in less than 5 minutes by anyone who can follow the simple instructions provided. The only tool needed is a small cross-head screwdriver. Simples!

Glad it is working a lot better.
Why this particular brushbar is twice as expensive as some of the others is a mystery. However it does the job and and the vacuum is easier to maneuver than it was.

Make sure you order the right bar
My dyson is a DC40 erp. If you do not state erp you will be sent the wrong bar. Why does Dyson make different length bars for the same cleaner and of course the erp is more expensive!!!
