Great product, good quality, color acuraccy acceptable for fictional Train. Smoothly rolls on track.
replacing original AF gilbert Pullman style cars. I made my own Polar express cars, I feel the that the Lionel prduct is not accurate as the color is a bit lighter than the movie version. also the cars are snow capped and decal of " Polar "express " in the wrong spot..... do not care for that. However Lionel has fixed the decal placement on its latest version of the car. The ones I bought art the first production with the decal above the window might be collectables in the future? Which is why I bought this set! Car are of good quality and molding are very detailed, Function well even on tight curve track, car to car connection is fine. Car to engine has binding and un coupling issue due to lack of flexibility of tender coupler( not much room for swivel) Will need to make coupled swivel adapter for tight curves - equal to or less than 36". these are the mechanical issues foe under the Christmas tree tracks and tight turns.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Very Disappointed!
My advice is "Don't purchase this train!" The first engine did not run and was defective right out of the box. The replacement engine ran well in forward but stopped in reverse till you readjust the truck's on the track. The electronics in replacement engine have quit working and the engine only will run forward (third day of use under the tree) My advice is to not purchase this train. It would appears there is a quality control problem that Lionel needs to correct.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does not work properly.
Purchased the train, came in a damaged box, the train will not go around the track fully without shorting and sparking. This results in a dead stop and is not enjoyable.
